Following the successful LM Perpetual EVO zirconium case version last year, MB&F launched a titanium version with a vibrant green dial.
A brief background of the LM series
The maiden voyage of the Legacy Machine series was in 2011. The Legacy Machine is completely different from the brand's iconic spaceship and otherworldly time container. The first evolutionary change of LM Perpetual Evo in 2020 is the choice of case material. Zirconium is lighter than steel and more durable than titanium. Today, the latest model with the same 44 mm case diameter and 17.5 mm thickness as the original 2015 Perpetual calendar appears in the grade 5 titanium case, another excellent lightweight and strong material that performs better than stainless steel. The shock absorber in the form of FlexRing-the ring-shaped shock absorber between the case and the movement-protects the vertical and transverse axes from shocks. The damper is machined from a piece of stainless steel, making the 581 parts of the perpetual calendar stronger.
Emerald green dial
Another improvement is the frameless structure, in which the domed sapphire crystal glass is directly integrated into the case. By increasing the aperture on the dial, the view of the movement is more attractive, but this does mean that the geometry of the sapphire crystal must be reconfigured to achieve strength and reduce its aspect ratio. Both sides of the sapphire crystal on the dial and case back are treated with anti-reflective coating.
A lovely emerald green dial provides a vivid background for the perpetual calendar function. Almost all QP movements and flying balance wheels, traditional adjustment screws with traditional adjustment screws are placed in the center of the dial and fixed in place by a V-shaped splint.
